22mths' milestones

Time really flies.

Ok, some important milestones:

New words:
I was pretty amazed by how fast deardear picked up new words. Sometimes, when travelling in the car, i will open up a picture book and teach deardear to read the words. Recently, i brought down a new picture book about toys. And it took only about 5 times of going thru the book before deardear could say out the words. Even though the pronounciation was off, but i could distinctly make out the overall words. And we r talking words like puzzle, yacht (don't ask me why tt's classified as a toy, i certainly can't afford a yacht as a toy... hahaha), trolley, tricycle, drum, marbles, kite, etc... And it's true that babies learn from memorising. She could recite the words before i even flip the page.

Development skills:
I know i should start letting deardear eat on her own, it's way overdue for her to learn this skill. But then, i hate messiness. And for sure if i let deardear eat on her own, there will be a learning period whereby she will create a mess...

Oh yes, deardear can recognise us in photos now. I showed her a family picture of the 3 of us and she successfully pointed us out.

Language skills:
Alan has started teaching her 1-10 in chinese. so far, so good... she can recite and read off most of the numbers in sequence.
