3rd day in HK (10th Feb)

Double shiok for the 2nd consecutive day!!! The Chow family slept till 8.45am!!! Such an unexpected luxury... we don't even get to sleep this late during weekends at home.

Ok, repeat of yesterday's morning routine...

After we came back from breakfast, deardear snoozed some more on the bed. We waited till deardear woke up, which was arnd 11.30am, then off we go... today we r gg to Ladies' market.

While walking along, deardear started making a fuss. I guessed she's hungry ( it's the cold weather ), gave her the biscuits but it was not enough to satisfy her. As it's around lunchtime anyway, we decided to go hv our lunch at a cha can ting. At the same time, can give deardear her porridge.

The cha can ting was packed. We saw an empty table ( the only one left ) n quickly sat down. No high chair for deardear, so i placed her to sit in a chair next to me. There was no place to put the stroller, so we have to put it near the cashier counter area. I left the ordering to Alan, so that i can feed deardear. She was very cooperative, finished her porridge without any fuss. The food we had at the cha can ting was delicious, value for money. I had wanton noodle + milk tea. Alan had beef noodle + milk tea. And we order egg tarts too. The egg tarts were yummilicious...

As we walked along the streets towards Ladies Market, we confirmed this. The roads in HK are really stroller-unfriendly. The roads were so narrow, uneven n full of pot-holes. Wonder how the locals bring their small babies out... i saw alot of them using cloth slings.

Anyway, we went to Ladies Market. I was rather disappointed with the limited variety of stuff there. Only bought 2 windbreakers - 1 Hello Kitty for dd and 1 Thomas & Friends for Charlene's Javier.

I oso managed to find a cheap overcoat for myself ( SGD$20 ) as it's getting too cold for me, with only a long-sleeve sweater. Think it's a good buy!

As we make our way back to hotel for a rest, we stopped and bought a drink at the famous Xu Liu Shan, birds nest+coconut flavour ( yummy yummy!!! )

Evening time, we took MTR to Central station. We wanted to go to Victoria's Peak, but was rather horrified at the long long queue for the tram. As we were getting into the queue, we heard a taxi driver calling for passengers to the Peak - SGD$16 for 1 way. We decided to go for it. Too bad, deardear's gonna miss this experience of travelling up the Peak by tram, but no choice, if we queue, it could take an hour to reach the Peak.

At the Peak, we went to a Jap restaurant for dinner. Standard was so-so only. After dinner, we went out to the outdoor area to view the nice scenery. Only spent a short time there tho, bcos it was so cold outside!!!! Brrrrr.....

Wanted to try and see if we can take the tram down, but too bad, the queue was just as bad, so we decided to take cab back all the way to hotel. We were tired anyway.

The Chow family slept at around 11pm...
