24mths' milestones

Motor Skills
- Improving by leaps n bounds. I just witnessed her climbing from the floor -> sofa -> jump into the playpen -> retrieve the car key -> climb out of the playpen -> sofa -> floor - pass the key to Alan, all these done in 5 secs or less.
- She's also getting vv good at maneuvering the car using her legs, such as moving fwd, reversing, cornering, u-turning...
- Hand-mouth coordination skills has 'developed' without us knowing. I say this bcos we have never given her opportunities to feed herself, until last weekend. During dinner time, she keep insisting "Ashley help, Ashley help." So, both of us held the spoon, n i kinda let her direct it to her mouth. She could aim it into her mouth, although the spoon was tilted in a funni direction. Nevertheless, most of the food still goes into her mouth, part of it will drop back into the bowl. Needless to say, Alan n I were over the moon abt tis.

Language Skills
- She can say lots of words n short sentences now, can't remember all.
Examples are : Ashley sit car-car, Train train go away, Daddy go outside, Daddy buy things, Mommi get up, etc etc...

Character Development
- She gets easily irritated when we dun understand her. And she will stamp her feet or prolong her words in a rather loud voice until u get her meaning.
- She is very playful now. She will purposely twist the words just to let u correct her. for example, she will point to di-di's car n say "Ashley sit-sit here." And i will reply her "no, Ashley sit-sit in your car", while pointing to her own car. With tt, she will grin cheekily at u.
- She likes to see me fumble. Example, if i accidentally drop sth on the floor, knock into a chair, she will laugh at me. ( notti notti Ashley! )
- She is very friendly to all gor-gors, jie-jies, di-dis, mei-meis. Whoever she meets, she will acknowledge by greeting them. And if the other party stops to acknowlege her back, i will tell Ashley to wave bye-bye to them. And Ashley will usually do so. ( Sometimes i feel sorry for Ashley bcos most of the time, her greetings go by unacknowledged, so i will tell Ashley, so-n-so is busy, didn't hear u. It's ok, never mind. let's go, baby.)

Brain Development
I can see her memory skills really improving tremendously. She remembers where things r kept, is able to put things back in the correct place. Sometimes, when i ask her where is my fone, she can even tell me (tt's bcos she's moved it from the table n put it in another place)

Communication
- No worries there for me. She understands instructions and can tell us wat she wants/dun want. In fact, she has no qualms abt giving us instructions.

Other skills
- Ashley now is a pro in using iPhone. She loves to see the pics in our fones (which r mostly of her anyway), n the SuperPoke! (which is sth like Tamagochi). I think she prefers Alan's pet bcos it's a familiar animal to her (penguin). She knows how to slide to unlock the fone, click on the icons she wants, click on the button below to get back to main screen.
- Ashley knows better how to hold a pen now, compared to few mths back when she always wants to hold it in the opposite direction. She can now hold a pen in her hand n draw on the magic board (thanks to Auntie Charlene who bgt it for her). My mom oso let her doodle on used paper during the last weekend when i was at her place. (think it's high-time i bought her a mini table n chair for her to sit n doodle)...
