Last day of 2008

At the beginning of 2008, a colleague commented tt feng shui says 2008 is gonna be a "bad" year. And true enough, i feel tt 2008 has been beset wif alot of bad news, whether it's political, financial, social and general. At the top of my head, i can already count off Mumbai terrorist bombing, Sichuan earthquake, Taiwan ex-president's scandal, sanlu milk scandal+all its ripple effect, Bangkok unrest, London & US flooding, financial industry meltdown, etc...

On my own personal note, 2008 spells a year of job shakiness. The industry i m in is in a very bad slump which even the much anticipated Beijing Olympics couldn't boost it up. And the year ahead does not look rosie as market is expected to remain sluggish. Internally, i faced alot of struggles, pivoting between staying or leaving.

Toking about family brings a smile to me. This is the year Ashley trods into toddlerhood n wat a joy ride it's been. Everyday (just kidding!), Ashley shows me her new little achievements and antics that usually makes me walk around, beaming like a crazy peacock.

As for my other half, i only gripe tt i wish he would pay more attention to me. I wish he knows tt we need to continually invest time n effort to renew our relationship, to forge a stronger bond to each other. Other than tt, my other half is perfect. He helps around the house and gets involved in looking after Ashley and bonding wif her. Most of all, he puts up wif my short temper. :-p

Looking forward to 2009, i m sure that we, the AJA family, will be able to overcome all challenges that come our way and be bound stronger with love.

Wishing all the best for the year ahead!
